What Exactly Happened To Richard Sheffield During The Stunt Show?
Richard Sheffield crashed during a pre-game event in Washington County, Tennessee, where he was performing. Sheffield fell outside the stadium when he tried to do a stunt landing. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
He was married for 38 years and lived in Elizabethton, Tennessee. Kim is the name of his wife. Stacey and Casey were their two sons. One of them, Stacey, later went on Facebook to talk about how sad he was that his father had died. He wrote, “Today is the hardest day of my life and doesn’t feel real.” He went on to say, “Yesterday, we lost my Dad, who was one of the most important people in our lives.”
Stacey went on in his Facebook post to talk about how much he and his dad loved skydiving. He said, “It’s way cool that you can skydive with your dad. Dad’s favourite thing was to go fast, and that’s how he died.”
