The incident brought back memories of Jules Bianchi’s tragic crash in 2014, after he crashed with a rescue car.

Philippe Bianchi Lashes Out

Following the incident, Philippe Bianchi quickly reacted and condemned the incident. Phillipe Bianchi shouted that there was no regard for the driver’s life or Jules’ memory—unbelievable.

Unbelievably, Phillipe Bianchi yelled, “There was no consideration for the driver’s life or Jules’ memory.”

Pierre Gasly Tractor Incident

On the second lap of Sunday’s race at Suzuka, officials gave a red-flag after Carlos Sainz fell out. Following which an onboard video showed Gasly, who was already carrying an advertising hoarding, speeding past a recovery truck.

Gasly, the AlphaTauri driver, later shouted that he might have killed himself as there was a tractor on the track.

The FIA gave Gasly a drive-through penalty, which translated into a 20-second time penalty after the race.

FIA Speaks Out

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) founded on June 20, 1904, to promote the interests of motoring organizations and automobile owners, later admitted that the tractor had undeniably distracted Gasly.

Who Is Jules Bianchi?

Jules Bianchi was a former F1 driver who died in in 2015, nine months after being involved in an accident during the F1 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka.

Bianchi crashed after he slid off the circuit at high speed during a yellow flag phase. His car ran under a crane vehicle, which was removing another car from the track following an accident.

Following the tragic crash, Bianchi never recovered consciousness after the accident caused significant brain damage.
