Joey Chestnut eats 75 hotdogs and is celebrated as a king. I eat 9 hotdogs one time at a kids birthday party and I’m “embarrassing to be around”

The incident occurred as the annual Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest was underway at Coney Island. A protestor jumped on to the stage where Joey Chestnut and other competitors were devouring their way to win the title. The protestor, wearing a Darth Vader mask and holding a sign that read “Expose Mithfield’s Deathstar,” bumped into Chestnut. Chestnut, who was in the process of scoffing down one of the hot dogs, was more than happy to chokehold the protestor and throw him down on the ground.
The rumble did nothing to stop Chestnut as he munched his way to winning the competition despite facing the setback by the protestor. This year’s competition was the first after a brief hiatus owing to the pandemic, and Chestnut won it in a dominating fashion. The veteran competitive eater devoured a total of 63 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes to win the competition in a landslide victory against his other competitors.
A special victory
The next highest competitor managed to chomp down around 43 hot dogs and buns, 20 shy of Chestnut. Although this year’s victory is nowhere close to his last victory, where he ate 76 hot dogs and buns, it is nothing short of special. Joey Chestnut won the competition and knocked down the protestor after a chokehold, all while dealing with a ruptured tendon. The 37-year-old veteran had recently shocked fans gathered at the official weigh-in as he arrived on crutches.
After the competition, Chestnut was quoted as saying to ESPN, “It hurts, but I was in the zone for a little bit.” I was ignoring it, “
Major League Eating ranked Chestnut at the number 1 spot and he is famous for winning all sorts of eating competitions. His recent victory further proves this point and puts him on top of all other competitive eaters. Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest is a competition held every year at Surf Avenue and Stillwell Avenue in Coney Island, Brooklyn. It is a part of the 4th of July celebrations and brings in a flock of people every year.
