Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles along with his younger brother and friend were reportedly “attacked” by a group of thugs who “threatened to shoot” him as they left Chinawhite club in Newcastle with the fight video viral

Following the incident, videos of the brawl have gone viral online with authorities yet to identify the attackers.

Lascelles joined Newcastle in 2014 from Nottingham Forest and he is currently linked with a move to Turkish side Beşiktaş.

Jamaal Lascelles “attacked” by group of thugs

A group of thugs reportedly “attacked” Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles, who was out with his younger brother and friend. The incident took place on August 19, just hours Newcastle’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester City at The Etihad stadium. It happened as the trio were leaving Chinawhite club just outside The Mile Castle Wetherspoons.

According to eyewitness reports, one of the members from the group of thugs elbowed Jamaal’s 19-year-old brother in the throat. Following the “unprovoked attack” Lascelles shoved the man away starting a fight between them. In just a few seconds, the group of thugs all started started punching Jamaal from all sides. Shockingly, one of the attackers threw a “vodka bottle” towards Jamaal’s head, narrowly missing him and smashing in the street.

“Knocked unconscious”

As the fight continued, Jamaal Lascelles fought back and threw a few punches at the thugs who attacked him. He even managed to knock a person on the floor. However, his younger brother and friend were not so fortunate, as the attackers left his brother bleeding from the mouth, while knocking out his friend unconscious. The attackers knocked his friend on the ground and kicked him in the face, which knocked him out for over ten minutes. Reports state that they were try to resuscitate him when the police arrived.

Moreover, according to the Newcastle skipper, the attackers even “threatened to shoot” him during the brawl. Upon the arrival of emergency services, the group of men had already fled the scene. Medical officials took Jamaal Lascelles and the other two victims who got attacked to the hospital for further treatments. Officers from the Northumbria Police who arrived on the scene are currently investigating the incident.
