Ja Morant Asks NBA Referee If He’s Placed A Bet On FanDuel, Video Goes Viral
Betting has been Legalised.
Since some states have legalised sports betting in recent years, it has been rather normal for sports groups to discuss gambling.
Morant decided it would be a good idea to ask the referee if he has put any bets for some reason. However, he was given a technical foul as compensation. A courtside spectator, according to Grizzlies beat writer Damichael Cole, claimed that Morant questioned the official if he was using the sports betting app FanDuel.

This led the official to penalise him with a technical foul.
Asking a referee if they bet on a game as an athlete is generally regarded as being extremely inappropriate and may result in a further penalty so that the league need not be concerned about other players trying to do the same. This is especially true in the NBA.
Until he was implicated in a gambling controversy, Tim Donaghy played in the National Basketball Association for 13 seasons, from 1994 to 2007, as you are aware. Donaghy handled the whistle in 772 regular-season games and 20 postseason contests during the course of his NBA career. The NBA would ideally avoid the second scandal of that magnitude.
The Boston Celtics defeated the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday evening.
The C’s improved to 7-3 on the year with the aid of a 20-0 surge in the second quarter. 10 of the points during the run were scored by Jayson Tatum (39 points), who also scored 25 points in the first half. Ja Morant, the standout player for the Grizzlies, responded with 14 points of his own in the third quarter to help Memphis recover the lead going into the fourth, but Boston was able to pull off a 109-106 victory in the end.
Morant scored 30 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, handed out 9 assists, stole 2 times, and blocked a shot in 35 minutes.
