The Ivorian Football Federation paid tribute to the young defender and told his family and loved ones how sorry they were.

Before playing for Racing d’Abidjan, Moustapha Sylla played for the Malian team Djoliba AC. The Ivorian club has been doing well at home in football recently. In 2020, they won the Côte d’Ivoire championship. Racing d’Abidjan works with OGC Nice, and after 16 games this season, they are in seventh place in the Ivorian first division championship.
