Manny Machado was seen losing his marbles as the pressure of the encounter got to him with him bellowing at Fernando Tatis Jr.

In dire need of a win when they took on St. Louis, San Diego Padres had only themselves to blame for their 3-2 defeat on the night.

Despite being 2-0 up at one point, Padres allowed their opponents to score three runs in the bottom of the eighth, a defeat which pushed them two and a half games back of the Cardinals for the second wildcard. This was the side’s second defeat in as many days after being downed by the Cardinals on Friday, a loss which puts the team in a soup.

Manny Machado And Fernando Tatis Jr. Fight In The Dugout

Unfortunately for the team, problems are not only limited to the field of play at the moment. Saturday’s showdown saw infighting in the camp with Manny Machado unloading on Fernando Tatis Jr.

Things blew up after shortstop Fernando struck out looking in the fifth inning. Tatis who seen squabbling with the home plate umpire, Phil Cuzzi about the call which lead to his compatriot, Machado going onto lambast him.

An irate Machado was seen yelling at Fernando in the dugout as he said, “It’s not f**king about you” as he urged him to player baseball instead of indulging in strife with the umpire.

With the entire incident making for uneasy and unsavory viewing with it never nice to see two counterparts have a go at each other, manager Jayce Tingler tried to downplay the entire feud.

“We’re a family. There’s passion. There’s frustration. All emotions that are natural and those things happen. But it comes down to a group of men caring,” Tingler said after the game.
