After Aakash Chopra, now Harsha Bhogle has thrown his weight behind KL Rahul and hit out at Venkatesh Prasad
After Pakistan’s victory against India, Waqar Younis made some toxic comments to hurt the emotions of Hindu followers and owing to his dubious response that seemed to favor Waqar, the commentator has been criticized by the social media.
Following his half-hearted response on Waqar Younis’s offensive tweet, Harsha Bhogle faced backlash from the netizens with many accusing the commentator of siding with the Pakistani cricketer.
Harsha Bhogle claims Venkatesh Prasad should have waited to question KL Rahul and his sorry form
And he seems to have remembered getting schooled by Venkatesh Prasad with him now lashing out at Venky for questioning BCCI and Team India’s persistent support of KL Rahul despite his horrid form in cricket, especially test matches.
After Akash Chopra, Harsha bhogle on cricbuzz slammed Venkatesh Prasad on his tweets about kl rahul.
It's high time Venkatesh Prasad should learn how and when to crtisize a player. #KLRahul #INDvAUS #BGT2023 pic.twitter.com/SfdCoVfoVo— GillxRahul's Cover Drive (@klassykldrives) February 21, 2023

So my friend Aakash Chopra after making a vile video on YouTube this morning where he calls me an agenda peddle, conveniently and cleverly misquotes me, removes Mayank’s average of 70 at home, wants to gag views which are not in line with what he believes but wanted Rohit out pic.twitter.com/2HwFLMgvmd

For a person of Waqar Younis' stature to say that watching Rizwan offering namaz in front of Hindus was very special to him, is one of the most disappointing things I have heard. A lot of us try hard to play such things down and talk up sport and to hear this is terrible.

Why Bhogle was criticized on his reply towards offensive tweets of Waqar Younis?
In the exhilaration of a rare triumph over the Indian squad, former Pakistani cricketer Waqar Younis made derogatory remarks about Hindus on a news channel. Though, commentator Harsha Bhogle responded with a condemnatory tweet in reply, his tweet, like his commentary, seemed lopsided for the opposition. Additionally in this instance, Bhogle’s comments favored Waqar and helped in minimizing the harshness of Waqar’s words.
Despite the fact that it was crystal evident that the former Pakistani cricketer had meant every single word he had uttered, Bhogle chose to speak with politeness before urging Waqar to apologize for his words. Harsha remained impartial as usual, but former Indian speedster Venkatesh Prasad startled the Pakistani player with his straightforward remarks.
Contrary to Harsha, Venkatesh is renowned for wearing his faith proudly on his sleeve and is unrepentant about his Hindu traditions. As for Harsha, Amitabh Bachchan and MS Dhoni have previously criticized him for being partial towards the opposition.
What did Waqar say in his derogatory comments about Indians & Hindus?
Waqar stated on a news channel that Mohammad Rizwan reciting the Namaz in front of Hindus during was very India vs. Pakistan was significant for him. Although, Waqar was compelled to issue a modest apology after his comments turned into a storm, notably there wasn’t any discussion going on; instead, Waqar was idly sitting and gushing over Pakistan’s triumph. Therefore, Waqar appears to have made up his apologies in an effort to quell the media’s bad coverage.
