Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow displayed exceptional cunning to free himself from an uncomfortable circumstance during the game between Feyenoord and FC Twente, which featured an epic moment as his video goes viral
A nasty trick by the Feyenoord goalkeeper prevents a potential goal.
When the event occurred, league leaders, Feyenoord were playing FC Twente in the Eredivisie. During the game, Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow pulled off a deft trick to stop a possible goal. Late in the first half, with the Eredivisie leaders leading 1-0, the Dutch goalkeeper sprinted out of goal to make a tackle. He effectively deflected the ball away from forward Virgil Misidjan before it made contact with him.
Misidjan, however, saw a chance to score an easy goal as the goalie was far from his goal and off the field as the ball went for a throw-in. Here, Bijlow’s fast thinking put a stop to this scheme right away. The Feyenoord goalkeeper grabbed another ball and flung it onto the field as soon as he saw the striker taking the throw-in, setting up a furious response from Misidjan.
Despite getting a yellow card for his efforts, the goalkeeper prevented a possible goal threat for his team. Fans praised Biljow’s cunning in the viral video that quickly gained popularity on social media.

In the second half, FC Twente still managed to score the equaliser late in the game to earn a 1-1 draw. Joshua Brenet’s goal for Twente, which was also the game’s final score, came in the 68th minute of the second half.
However, the outcome insured that Feyenoord, who have been ruling the Dutch league for several years, would maintain their lead over Ajax Amsterdam at the top of the standings.
