Day one of the 1st India vs New Zealand test match saw the Kanpur fans fill the air with chants of Pakistan murdabad 

Yearning for cricket after a hiatus given birth to by the COVID-19 pandemic, cricket aficionados in Kanpur ensured they made the most of the return of the game in the city. As the first test match of the India vs New Zealand series got underway in Kanpur, ardent cricket lovers marked their presence at the stadium by turning up in colossal numbers.

Said to be one of the most entertaining bunch of fans, the supporters in the concourses showed why they had been serenaded with the moniker. Day one of the IND vs NZ 1st test match was riddled with a string of riveting moments with the fans bursting into a slew of quirky chants and songs.

Among one of the funnier moments from the stands were visuals of the home fans bursting into chants of Pakistan murdabad. The boisterous supporters made sure the chant was bellowed with all their might, one which showed the innate angst which Indians harbour against Pakistan, a country responsible for unbridled acts of terrorism against India.

Over the years, scores of Pakistani cricketers have also come out in the open to belittle India and Hindus with the likes of Shahid Afridi and Waqar Younis amongst others leaving no stone unturned to showcase the hate they house against India. And its clearly not gone down well to people in UP who ensured they made their displeasure towards the neighbour country well voiced.
