The altercation erupted in the midst of the Ducks facing off against the Winnipeg Jets at the Honda Center, involving opposing team fans in a concourse skirmish.

Video Shows Scuffle

Video footage from the incident captures a Jets fan, sporting a Jacob Trouba jersey, breaking away from the melee to engage in a scuffle with a Ducks supporter in a purple jersey.

In the ensuing tussle, the Winnipeg fan executed a leg takedown maneuver, forcefully slamming the Anaheim fan onto the tiled floor, leaving him appearing knocked out.

Anaheim PD Dispatched Officers

The individual remained motionless for a brief period before rolling over in apparent distress. Responding to the incident, the Anaheim Police Department issued a statement confirming the dispatch of officers to the area post-incident.

One person was transported to the hospital with a head injury. The police stated that the investigation is ongoing, and as of now, no arrests have been made. They mentioned utilizing videos circulating on social media as part of their investigative process.

Anaheim Ducks vs Winnipeg Jets

Meanwhile, in terms of the game itself, Nate Schmidt and Cole Perfetti scored in the third period, securing a 3-1 victory for the Winnipeg Jets against the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night.

This win extended the Jets’ point streak to 11 games. Nikolaj Ehlers also contributed a goal for Winnipeg, and Laurent Brossoit made 37 saves, leading the Jets to their fifth consecutive win and an Impressive 9-0-2 record in their last 11 games overall.

Discussing the game, Ehlers expressed the team’s confidence, particularly in overcoming early deficits. Mason McTavish scored for Anaheim in the first period, and John Gibson made 24 saves, but the Ducks continued their struggles, dropping to a 4-18-1 record in their last 23 games.

The victory marked Winnipeg’s second triumph at Anaheim in the past month, following an earlier game where the Jets’ Kyle Connor was injured in a collision with the Ducks’ Ryan Strome.

Connor remained sidelined due to injury, while Strome was out of the lineup with an upper-body injury. Schmidt’s decisive goal and Perfetti’s power-play contribution sealed the Jets’ success in the game.
