Watch as a dog interrupts the Mumbai Indians vs Gujarat Titans game and is called Hardik Pandya
Widespread dismay greeted Hardik Pandya’s debut as the Mumbai Indians skipper. The match, incidentally, was against the Gujarat Titans, whom he unexpectedly quit to play for the Mumbai Indians.
His situation was made worse by the match taking place at the Narendra Modi Stadium. This response clearly expressed disdain of the team management’s decision to name Pandya as captain in place of Rohit Sharma.

Once more, the crowd made disparaging remarks about Pandya. When a dog invaded the pitch and began racing about, it happened in the fifteenth over of the Gujarat Titans’ innings. The crowd could be heard screaming Hardik Pandya’s name as the dog ran all over the pitch.
Fans made fun of him on social media by saying that even the dog neglected the all-around player, which led to him being mocked. One wrote: Even the dog ignored Hardik Pandya.”

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians continued the IPL custom of losing their first game since 2012 as Gujarat Titans pulled off an incredible six-run triumph in an exciting contest.
The newly appointed captain, Pandya, won the toss and decided to field first. In the first game, GT was headed by wicketkeeper-batter Wriddhiman Saha and team captain Shubman Gill. Mohit Sharma’s two incredible catches off his own bowling and the replacement fielder Abhinav Manohar’s removal of the aforementioned batsmen turned the game around.
Hardik was out on the next ball, leaving the lower-order to struggle after he hit the first two balls for six and four, respectively, to position himself with a 19-run match requirement off the last over. Chawla departed the very next ball, providing Umesh Yadav with hattrick and it was over for MI.
