The heat is on between Conor McGregor and ‘The Diamond’ Dustin Poirier ahead of McGregor vs Poirier 3 at UFC 264 as they engage in a war during a press conference
McGregor and Poirier go head-to-head for a third and final time in the UFC 264 main event which will take place in front of a packed house at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, 10th July, 2021. The two faced each other during a pre-match press conference which took no time getting heated up. The Notorious One launched into aiming a string of insults at The Diamond who fought back with some of his own.

McGregor has started regressing to his old personality in his rivalry with Poirier. Unlike the admiration and respect he had expressed for The Diamond after losing their second fight, The Notorious One is back to his pugnacious self. A few days ago, he had shared a screenshot of Poirier’s wife sliding into his Instagram DMs. And now, during a pre-match press conference he wasted no time launching into a flurry of personal insults.

“You’re getting walked like a dog in that octagon on Saturday night!” McGregor shouted. “You’re only a little b*tch. You’re only a little b*tch of a thing, a silly little hillbilly. Jolie’s wife!,” McGregor said to Poirier as he used words from ‘a corpse’ to ‘a little fake c*nt’.
Poirier Silences McGregor
Although, Poirier did have a moment during the conference when he silenced the Irishman with his response. A reporter asked McGregor about when exactly had his demeanor towards Poirier been altered. The latter responded even before the reporter could finish the question.
“Cause he got knocked the f*ck out,” Poirier said. “Not McGregor fast … McGregor sleep,” The Diamond said. In the end of the conference though, Poirier ultimately promised that nothing McGregor had said got to him. He stated that he has no hate for anybody and is in a different place mentally.
