Carlos Sainz who suffered the crash in practice on Saturday is currently a doubt for the F1 Sprint qualifying race ahead of the Italian Grand Prix 2021
The last string of races haven’t quite unfolded as Ferrari would have envisaged them. After shunts in qualifying in Hungary and in the last practice session at Zandvoort last weekend, Carlos Sainz has endured his third crash in four races today.
The Ferrari man brought the red flags out during FP2 at Monza ahead of the F1 Sprint qualifying this Saturday. Sainz whose car ended up spinning before crashing into the barriers at the Ascari chicane managed to come out of the accident unscathed.

The red flags were enforced to halt the other cars as the Medical Car rushed to Sainz’s rescue and the marshals undertook the process of removing his battered car from the track.
Sainz who lost the back end of the car as he accelerated out of the second part of the corner to go hammering into the barriers in a high speed impact went onto affirm that he was alright ensuing the incident. “That hurt a bit, but I’m OK,” Sainz was heard saying.

Sainz who was going to start F1 Sprint in seventh position is now a doubt owing to the heavy damage his car took. While Ferrari are allowed to change any damaged parts, it remains to be seen if the team will be able to carry out those changes in time.
Ferrari meanwhile will have Charles Leclerc in 8th place after his effort in qualifying on Friday.
