After the completion of the French GP, Sainz was in Spain roaming around the streets in his car, and a fan approached him, asking to sign a Barcelona shirt but Sainz didn’t show any intention of doing so and simply moved on.
Carlos Sainz has been a die-hard fan of Real Madrid since childhood, and the rivalry between the two clubs is one of the toughest rivalries in football history. The rivalry of the two clubs is not limited just to the football field, the fan base of the two clubs sees themselves as rivals apart from football as well. Carlos Sainz is a fan of Madrid, it was, therefore, no surprise to see him refuse to sign Barca’s shirt.
I’ve seen drivers signing freaking food!!! He does not have to give autographs if he doesn’t want to but the reason he didn’t sign this one is pretty childish

The video went viral on the Internet, and fans around the world responded by some saying “Hala Madrid,” while a few others described it as a childish gesture on Sainz’s part. People have even said that it was like asking Max Verstappen to sign a Mercedes shirt.
The guy obviously was baiting Carlos for Social Media, maybe he should had been respectful & had a Ferrari Shirt to Sign? 🤷♀️

Some have even reacted by saying that the fan was probably luring Carlos on social networks despite the fact that Sainz is a fan of Real Madrid.
It was not a good weekend for the Spaniard in the French GP
Talking about French GP, Carlos Sainz did not have the best weekend, he started the race with a flying start at the back of the grid and made it up to P3. In the end, a late stop eventually left him behind, ending up at P5 in the race. It has been a back-to-back failure from Ferrari this year and would be hoping for good results, this weekend in the Hungarian GP to close the lead with Red Bull.
The Hungarian GP will take place on July 31, and it will be interesting to see how Red Bull and Ferrari will built up the strategies to end the GP with a podium finish.
