Tottenham fans were quick to make their feelings blatantly known to Harry Kane as they belittled him during their showdown with Manchester City
The game of football is one of the finest levelers in the world. You reap what you sow, a line Harry Kane would have understood all too well today.
Regarded as the spearhead of their attack, the striker had over the years gone onto be stranded by the Tottenham supporters. A player who was widely regarded as the bagpiper of their attack, Kane had taken little time in reaching legendary status in the marquee league.
However, with Jose Mourinho departing and Tottenham unwilling to open the purse of their strings to revel in the services of worldclass players, Harry Kane had decided his future lay elsewhere. A faithful employee of the club for a string of years, his aspirations of leaving the club based out of London were not misplaced.

However, what irked Tottenham fans was the manner in which Kane is trying to push through an exit from the club. Returning to England ensuing his vacation after partaking in the Euro 2020 final against Italy, Kane refused to turn up for training with the club.
He was altogether absent from Tottenham’s squad when they got ready to take on reigning champions, Manchester City in their Premier League 2021/22 season opener today. While Nuno Espirito Sanchez cited a lack of match fitness with Kane only returning to training this Friday, his willingness to quit the club was touted to be the main reason behind his absence.
Unperturbed by the lack of his services, Tottenham went onto defeat City 1-0 on the day through a Heung-Min Son goal with Tottenham supporters filled the stadium with chants of “Are you watching Harry Kane.”
