The fact that no official had witnessed the bizarre incident till it was displayed on television during half-time made Pogba pretty furious. Rudiger would have landed in trouble had VAR interfered in the matter. France vs Germany Match Report

France went on to win the marquee clash 1-0, courtesy of Germany’s Mats Hummels hitting an own goal in the 20th minute of the match at Munich. After the clash, Pogba won the man of the match for his sterling performance in the clash. He was the one who had set up the chance for the German defender to hit the own goal.

France has thus taken the second spot in Group F after claiming all three points in the match against Germany. The latter team was neither able to breach the French defence, nor contain their attack. Meanwhile, the next marquee clash in the ‘Group of Death’ will see Portugal take on Germany on June 19.
