Who Is Jay Shah? What About Jay Shah’s Early Life?
Amitbhai Shah is a businessman and a cricket official from India. He became the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India in October 2019. (BCCI).
Shah was born in 1987 or 1988. His parents, Amit Shah and Sonal Shah, were both active in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s youth group, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. He earned a B.Tech. from Nirma University. He learned to play cricket in Ahmedabad with Jayendra Sehgal, who thought Shah was a “good enough batsman.”

Jay Shah was a member of the executive board of the Central Board of Cricket in Ahmedabad from 2009 to 2013. In September 2013, he became the joint secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA). During his time as joint secretary, he and his father, Amit Shah, who was GCA president at the time, oversaw the building of the world’s largest cricket stadium, the Sardar Patel Stadium, in Ahmedabad.
When Did Jay Shah Join BCCI?
Jay Shah joined the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) finance and marketing committees in 2015. He quit his job as joint secretary of the GCA in September 2019. The next month, he was chosen as the youngest of the five office holders to be the secretary of BCCI for a one-and-a-half-year term. In December 2019, Shah was chosen by the BCCI to be its representative at future International Cricket Council CEC meetings.
