The teen was struck by a hatchback flying with a French flag in Montpellier, a city in the south. In the horrifying video, a group is seen trying to grab the flag as they walk along Rue de la Mosson when the car suddenly pulls a U-turn, slamming into the youngster, and then speeds off. Local authorities reported that the kid, unfortunately, passed away after being struck by a car in the midst of the city’s mayhem.

After fights started, fans started street fires and tossed fireworks, prompting the use of tear gas and water cannons by the police in Brussels. Following the incident, several were reportedly detained in the Belgian capital.
