Several videos of recently deceased Nigerian singer Mohbad aka Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba have been going viral on social media as fns claim he was buried alive sparking outrage among his fans, know more about his funeral and autopsy results

As fans continue to make speculations over Mohbad’s death, the claims state that the musician was buried alive.
Videos claiming Mohbad was buried alive go viral
Over the past few days, fans have posted several videos of Mohbad’s burial grounds online after groups of fans stormed the burial site. The Lagos State police were reportedly exhuming the singer’s corpse for an autopsy when fans stormed in. Alongside those videos, many followers of claimed that Mohbad, was still alive when he was buried.
According to some fans, they saw fresh blood dripping out of the his coffin seven days after his burial. Moreover, some fans claimed that they did not get any smell from the corpse even nine days after his death. One fan stated:
We are demanding a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the sudden death. Fresh blood was still dripping out of the coffin, seven days after he was buried.”
Meanwhile, an X (formerly Twitter) user @raycypherSf posted an image and stated:
Blood was found in the coffin when his body was exhumed for autopsy”
With conspiracies continuing to grow, netizens have now posted several videos of Aloba’s body online. Mahbod’s fans claim that they saw his neck move although he was pronounced dead.
An X user @damilare_VA commented on a video of Mohbad’s body saying:
If you check the video very well Mohbad raised his neck there, this guy need to be arrested for questioning and who are those that took Mohbad body form this guy and buried him so fast”
Mohbad fans express outrage
Following the series of events, hundreds of Mohbad fans have taken to the streets of Lagos to hold protests. The fans have resorted to expressing their outrage and even holding candlelight vigils pleading for justice. Currently in Nigeria, the hashtag “justiceformohbad” continues to trend on X.
After seven days, the Lagos PPRO announced that exhumation of Mohbad’s body was possible, Hundeyin, wrote that the singer’s body was unearthed on Thursday, 21 September. “Exhumation completed. Autopsy to commence,” the Lagos PPRO wrote on X.
In a few hours that same day, Thursday, 21 September, Mohbad autopsy was conducted, as the Lagos police spokesperson announced, “Autopsy has been concluded. Awaiting result…” and the autopsy was conducted by a team of forensic experts to determine the cause of Mohbad’s death.
The police spokesperson assured the public that they would release the results as soon as they were available, in order to provide clarity and closure to the singer’s family.
Lagos Police continue further investigations
Meanwhile, amidst all the public outrage, inspector-general of police Kayode Egbetokun, ordered a forensic investigation into the death of Mahbod. According to Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin, officers exhumed Mahbod’s body and conducted an autopsy.
Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu also urged citizens to approach law enforcement for providing any information related to the death of Mahbod. Babajide assured witnesses that they would receive protection if the need arises. Sanwo-Olu said:
I have instructed that all those who may have played any role whatsoever in any event leading to the death of Mohbad be made to face the law after a thorough investigation.”
Recently, State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa confirmed that law enforcement are scheduled to meet the singer’s father. However, the meeting did not take place and further updates are awaited as of now.
News of the 27-year-old’s death in a clinic after treatment for an ear infection, filtered in last Tuesday but no official reason has been given as of yet.
