On Sunday, two police officers went to Kambli’s apartment and gave him a notice requesting that he come before them so they could take his statement. According to a Bandra police station officer, no arrests have been made as of yet in relation to the alleged event that happened on Friday.

Vinod Kambli is a well-known former Indian cricketer. He has been in the news because he was recently charged with beating his wife while drunk.
His full name is Vinod Ganpat Kambli. He was born on January 18, 1972, in Bombay, Maharashtra, India.
In 1998, he married Noella Lewis, a front desk worker at the Hotel Blue Diamond in Pune. However, they soon get divorced. He later married the fashion designer Andrea Hewitt. In June 2010, the couple’s child was born. Soon, he became a Catholic and named his son Jesus Christiano Kambli.

Vinod Kambli was a left-handed middle-order batsman who represented India as well as Mumbai and Boland in South Africa.
Despite having the highest lifetime batting average of any Indian Test cricketer, he was only 23 when he last played. After that, he was only regarded as a player for One Day International games. However, he soon played his final game in that form as well, retiring at the age of 28.
