As per media reports, the police claimed that the juvenile’s offence was not deemed “serious” by the court, which is why the bail was granted.
Vedant was one of the three persons inside the Porsche, according to a witness, and the vehicle was travelling at a speed of between 200 and 240 km/h. It was said that all three were drunk.
Fifteen hours after the event, the 17-year-old kid who killed two people with his fancy car was released on bond. The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) granted him bail, but it came with some difficult-to-understand stipulations.
Vedant Agarwal is reportedly required to submit an essay about the event, spend 15 days with the Yerwada traffic police, and attend counselling sessions to address his alcoholism.
He was charged under pertinent provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act as well as sections 304A, 279, 337, 338, and 427 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
