Davis reportedly spent the night in jail after being accused of assaulting Posso. He was released on bail, and his forthcoming fight is scheduled for January 7. Davis has only just lately come out and written a series of posts in which he argues that he is innocent.

Davis indicated on Instagram that he hit Posso because she spread crap on his toothbrush. According to the boxer, 28, Posso stole feces from their daughter’s diapers. He said that he was “locked up,” so he “can’t do this” in reference to punching Posso. The following is an excerpt from a paper by Davis:
“This girl put sh*t on my toothbrush…and everything this hard sh*t from my daughter pamper…the one y’all saw I hit! Can’t ay I did this I was fu**king locked up…I didn’t want to do this but I wanna clear my name!”
Davis said, “I didn’t want to do this, but I want to clear my name,” in an effort to dispel the charges against him. Davis’s history with Posso includes an arrest for domestic abuse. The 28-year-old is scheduled to go to trial on 16 February 2020 on charges related to an alleged hit-and-run incident.
