The USA baseball Olympic team and roster has been announced and this team has become the sixth Olympic baseball team in the history of the marquee event
The team comprises of players who have played mostly from MilB clubs, and there were also some players, who belonged from free agents and there were members, who belonged to both Nippon Professional baseball and Mexican League.

All the participating players are first-time Olympians. Let’s have a look at the team:
1. Nick Allen: He has played for Athletics team and Midland club.
2. Eddy Alvarez: He has played for Marlins team and Jacksonville club.
3. Tyler Austin: He has played for Nippon Professional baseball team and Yokohama DeNA Baystars club.
4. Shane Baz: He has played for Rays team and Durham club.
5. Anthony Carter: He has played for Mexican League team and Sararperos de Saltillo club.
6. Triston Casas: He has played for Red Sox team and Portland club.
7. Brandon Dickson: He has played for Cardinals team and Memphis club.
8. Tim Federowicz: He has played for Dodgers team and Oklahoma City club.
9. Eric Filia: He has played for Mariners team and Tacoma club.
10. Todd Fraizer: He has played for free agent club.
11. Anthony Gose: He has played for Indians team and Columbus club.
12. Edwin Jackson: He has played for free agent club.
13. Scott Kazmir: He has played for Giants team and Sacramento club.
14. Patrick Kivlehan: He has played for Padres team and El Paso club.
15. Mark Kolozsvary: He has played for Reds team and Chattanooga club.
16. Jack Lopez: He has played for Red Sox team and Worcester club.
17. Nick Martinez: He has played for Nippon Professional Baseball team and Fukouka Softbank Hawks.
18. Scott McGoug: He has played for Nippon Professional Baseball team and Tokyo Yakult Swallows.
19. David Robertson: He has played for Free Agent club.
20. Joe Ryan: He has played for Rays team and Durham Club.
21. Ryder Ryan: He has played for Rangers team and Round Rock club.
22. Bubba Starling: He has played for Royals team and Omaha club.
23. Jamie Westbrook: He has played for Brewers team and Nashville club.
24. Simeon Woods Richardson: He has played for Blue Jays team and New Hampshire club.

Coach of USA baseball team
The coach of the team is Mike Scioscia and he will be guiding the team in this Olympics. Mike has 19 years of managing experience with Angels. He also has been the coach of Dodgers in 1997 and 98 as well. Other coaches will also join Mike such as Roly de Armas (bullpen coach), Darren Fenster (third base), Dave Wallace (pitching), Jerry Weinstein (first base) and Ernie Young (hitting).
The whole coaching team has an experience for more than 100 years and has also helped the team to qualify for the Olympics by creating a record score of 4-0.
Achievements of USA baseball Olympic team
During the summer games, the USA baseball team had won a bronze medal in four out of the five competition they participated in. The game of Baseball was not a part of the Official Olympics, which was held in 1992 in Barcelona. In that year, the team was placed on fourth position after they lost by 8-3 to Japan for the bronze medal.
During the 1996 Atlanta Games, the USA team had won a bronze medal and during the 2000 Olympics games, which was held in Sydney, the team had won its first gold medal. During the 2004 Olympic games, which was held in Athens, the team did not win a single medal. During the 2008 Olympics game, which was held in Beijing, the team won a bronze medal. Baseball as a sport was again not included in the 2012 and 2016 edition.
Fixture of USA baseball Olympic team
Apart from USA, six other baseball team have also qualified for the Tokyo Olympics and these are Israel, South Korea, the Dominican Repiublic, Japan and Mexico.
So, USA’s fixture has been given as follows:
1. USA vs Israel- July 30
2. USA vs South Korea- July 31
3. Knockout match- August 1-7.
All the matches are going to take place at Yokohama stadium.
