2023 US Open schedule, date, venue, fixtures, & first-round draw
At the 2023 US Open, which will take place in Council Bluffs, from 11th July through 16th July, Indian medal hopes will be led by two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu and the 2022 Commonwealth Games gold medalist Lakshya Sen. Although PV Sindhu fell down to 15th place in the most recent BWF world rankings, she showed her mettle by reaching the semi-final stage at the Canada Open. It is confirmed that Sindhu will begin her US Open campaign with a first-round against Qualifier winner.
Meanwhile, third-seed Lakshya Sen will be eager to continue his superb form that saw him win the 2023 Canada Open by defeating Li Shi Feng in the championship match. To begin his US Open title quest, Sen will face-off against Kalle Koljonen. Elsewhere, Parupalli Kashyap will begin his campaign in the Qualifiers stage against French shuttler Lucas Claerbout and hope to qualify for the main draw.

Due to it’s status as a prestigious BWF World Tour Super 300 event, the total prize pool of 2023 US Open will be $210,000. Meanwhile, each singles category champion will receive $15,750 and every doubles category winning pair will bag $16,590. Elsewhere, each losing finalist will earn prize money of $7,980 for their effort. Unfortunately, the first-round losers of this tournament will have to return home empty-handed.
