The 2023 United Cup has reached its verge with the final tomorrow, on Sunday, the day when the new champion will be decided between Team USA and Team Italy.
18 teams competed in the United Cup over 11 dramatic days in three Australian cities, but only the No. 3 seeded United States and No. 5 seeded Italy remain.

American Taylor Fritz put the finishing touches on the job early on Saturday after the United States stormed to a 2-0 lead against Poland on Friday in the United Cup semifinals.
In the No. 1 men’s singles match, Fritz defeated Hubert Hurkacz 7-6(5), 7-6(5) to give his nation an unstoppable 3-0 lead.
Madison Keys next defeated Magda Linette 6-4, 6-2, and Fritz and Jessica Pegula then defeated Lukasz Kubot and Alicja Rosolska in the mixed doubles match 6-7(5), 6-4, [10-6] to complete the 5-0 sweep.
The United States will play Italy in the final game after Italy defeated Greece later on Saturday.
Italy’s entry into the United Cup final was secured by Lucia Bronzetti’s 78-minute 6-2, 6-3 victory over Valentini Grammatikopoulou. Greece had an early 2-0 advantage over Italy, but Stefanos Tsitsipas overcame Matteo Berrettini by scores of 4-6, 7-6(2), and 6-4 before Bronzetti sealed the victory. Italy also triumphed in a mixed doubles match by a single point.

The championship match will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. (9 p.m. ET) in Sydney’s Ken Rosewall Arena.
