PDC 2022 Cazoo UK Open darts 2022 kicked-off on 4th March 2022, we take a look at the tournament format, top players, schedule, draw, fixtures and prize money
The Professional Darts Corporation is hosting the 2022 Cazoo UK Open. The competition is in its twentieth year, and players will compete in a single elimination tournament to become the champion. The event is taking place at Butlin’s Minehead, England from 4th March 2022 and it will conclude with the finals today.
James Wade is the reigning champion of the Cazoo UK Open. He won the 2021 edition by defeating Luke Humphries in the final. Wade is still going strong in the tournament and qualified for the quarterfinals.
PDC UK Darts Open 202 Tournament Format
The 160 competitors will enter the competition in stages, beginning with 64 players in the first round, followed by match winners joining the 32 players in the second and third rounds. Finally, the last 64 players will play in the fourth round.
Number 1–32 of the PDC Order of Merit will receive byes into Fourth Round. Meanwhile, Number 32-64 of PDC Order of Merit will receive byes to third round.
In the first, second, and third rounds, all matches will be contested over the best of 11 legs. All matches in the fourth, fifth, and sixth rounds, as well as the quarterfinals, will be best of 19 legs. The Semi-finals and Finals will be contested over the best of 21 legs format.
PDC UK Darts Open 2022 Tournament Draw, Schedule, Date, Time, Tickets, Fixtures, Players
On Monday, February 28, the draw for the First Round, Second Round, and Third Round will be made. From the end of the third round onwards, there was an open draw for the remaining rounds. Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
On the final day, quarterfinals will take place in the afternoon session while semi-finals and finals will be held in the evening session.

PDC Cazoo UK Darts Open 2022 Results 5th March Saturday
On Saturday, James Wade and Michael Smith were two of eight players to reach the quarterfinals of the Cazoo UK Open at Butlin’s Minehead Resort.
In the afternoon session, five-time champion Van Gerwen was eliminated in the fifth round, and Peter Wright was eliminated in the sixth round after losing 10-7 against William O’Connor.
World number one Gerwyn Price managed to qualify for the quarterfinals, where he will face Michael Smith. Reigning champion James Wade will face Keane Berry in the quarterfinals.
