With his basic paycheck, pay-per-view shares, & sponsorship deals, welterweight champion Leon Edwards, who won the UFC 286 main event, reportedly made a total of $1,300,000. Despite losing the main event, Kamaru Usman received a total payout of $1,250,000. For their outstanding performances, Gunnar Nelson and Jake Hadley received the $50,000 Performance of the Night prize.

UFC 286 full fight card winner and results
Early on, Usman moved forward, employing his jab and feinting takedowns. As the round went on, Edwards began to effectively employ his kicks, delivering a powerful body kick towards the conclusion. During the following ten minutes, Usman continued to charge forward in search of takedowns, while Edwards tried to avoid him and kick far away. Edwards experienced some anxiety during the third round when referee Herb Dean docked him a point for trying to stop Usman from taking him down by clinging onto the cage.
Fans attempted to motivate Edwards as the Birmingham fighter continued to chip away with leg and body kicks while attempting to neutralize Usman’s wrestling in the fourth round of the bout, which was still close. Usman persisted in pushing forward throughout, but his grappling was only partially effective because Edwards was frequently able to fight back to his feet at the cage. Despite Usman’s continued pursuit of takedowns against an obviously worn-out Edwards, the British fighter was able to persevere and win by majority decision.
