UFC 264 Results: The final bout between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier came to an early, unexpected end when The Notorious lost due to doctor stoppage.
McGregor vs Poirier 3 ended with an early blow as Conor sustained an ankle injury in the final seconds of the first round and was unable to continue against The Diamond. UFC 264 Results: Conor McGregor Sustains A Leg Injury And Loses To Dustin Poirier
The first round of Poirier vs McGregor 3 started with both of them flying at each other with kicks. As the fight hit the canvas, Dustin rained down on Conor with some heavy ground and pound. Fifteen seconds were left in the match, when the men threw punches at each other and McGregor rolled his ankle. He would not get up throughout the official announcement.
With this victory, Poirier has booked his ticket to face UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira for the title. He also said that he had a feeling McGregor’s leg was broken when he checked one of McGregor’s kicks earlier in the fight.

The two continued pouring out there aggression even after the fight as McGregor shouted from the ground, “This is not over!” Poirier retorted as he called him a dirt bag and before beginning his interview with Joe Rogan, told Conor to “Shut your b**** a** up.” He continued to say how karma is a mirror and Conor just got what he deserved after all the things he had said to Dustin in the week leading to their fight.
While McGregor vs Poirier 3 has reached a conclusion, this fight is far from being over. A rematch is not off the charts. Knowing The Notorious One, he will come back to get a fair-and-square victory against The Diamond who has now defeated him twice.
