The UEFA Champions League (UCL) 2022–23 is nearing its conclusion, and on Friday in Nyon, Switzerland, the eight clubs will get to know whom they will face in the quarterfinals.
Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid continued their title defence at the expense of English Premier League titans Liverpool in the UCL 2022–23 round of 16 with a 6-2 triumph on aggregate. Manchester City of England outplayed RB Leipzig of Germany over the course of two legs to win 8-1 overall, while former champions Bayern Munich of Germany upset the highly anticipated Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) of France 3-0. The other clubs that advanced to the UCL 2022–23 quarterfinals were Chelsea (England), Benfica (Portugal), AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Napoli (Italy).
How do the draws operate?
There will be no seeding for the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal draw, and clubs from the same nation or UEFA Champions League 2022–23 group may also face off. Along with the draw for the host team in the final, the semi-final brackets and the quarter-final draw will also be made.
Quarterfinal, Semifinal dates for the UEFA Champions League in 2022–23
The quarterfinal matches’ first legs will take place on April 11 and 12, while the reversal of those matches is planned on April 18 and 19. May 9–10 and May 16–17 will see play in the two semifinal legs. On June 10, the UEFA Champions League 2022–23 championship game will take place at Istanbul’s Ataturk Olympic Stadium.
