After referee Victor Loughlin had adjourned the main-event clash featuring Tyson Fury vs. Derek Chisora, Fury successfully retained his WBC heavyweight championship. However, the drama didn’t end there, as Usyk and Fury engaged in intense face-off post-fight to signal much-awaited undisputed title clash between the pair in 2023.

The main-event featuring Fury vs. Chisora was the main-attraction at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and owing to hype about Fury, this match saw high purse at stake. From this fight, WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will bag nearly $25 Million, while Derek Chisora will earn approximately $3.8 Million. In addition, Fury will get 80% of the PPV revenue and Chisora will earn 20% of the same. With his dominant victory against Chisora in the main-event, Fury has ended trilogy fight and proved the world only Usyk is worthy heavyweight opponent for him. Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora Match Events & Post-match Reactions

Fury landed a lot of right and left uppercuts in the first round, and this was a pattern that continued throughout the entire fight. In the third round, Chisora was rattled by a right hand from Fury, but he nevertheless managed to continue to accept the punishment, making the fight hard to watch. Chisora’s injuries from Fury’s merciless attack were evident as he slouched to his seat at the conclusion of round seven with a slowly shutting right eye as a result of the hard-hitting Fury left hands and a cut mouth. At the conclusion of round nine, referee Loughlin advised trainer Don Charles that Chisora should be pulled out of the fight. Despite Chisora’s persistent decision to keep fighting, the referee decided to stop the fight, as beatdown of Chisora continued even in the tenth-round.

After his resounding win over Chisora, WBC champion Tyson Fury called out Oleksandr Usyk, who was in audience to witness the fight. After Fury’s provocation, unified champion Usyk entered the ring apron and engaged in a fierce face-off after Fury called him out. With this turn of events, it’s safe to assume that Usyk vs. Fury is bound to happen sooner or later.
