In general, it is anticipated that the 2023 Tour de France will feature a two-horse race between the reigning champion Jonas Vingegaard and two-time champion Tadej Pogacar. Notably, these two players have finished in the top-two since last two years. However, 2022 Giro d’Italia champion Jai Hindley will be eager to clinch a podium finish. Additionally, experienced athletes like Mikel Landa, Enric Mas, David Gaudu, Richard Carapaz, Ben O’Connor, & Romain Bardet have the potential to be crowned as the overall winner.
According to the official schedule, this prestigious tournament will kick-off on 1st July with the first stage in Bilbao before culminating on 23rd July with the twenty-first stage in Paris. There will be 22 teams competing in the event and hence, eighteen UCI WorldTeams have all received automatic invitations. Additionally, top-two 2022 UCI ProTeams including Lotto-Dstny and Team TotalEnergies have qualified for the 2023 Tour de France. It should be remembered that a total of 176 cyclists will begin the race in Bilbao and each team will consist of eight cyclists.
The Tour de France route for this year covers a distance of 3,404 km (2,115 miles) and spans three weeks and it starts in Spain’s Bilbao, marking its first-ever stage in the city. It’s the second year in a row that the Tour begins outside France and the challenging race concludes on the iconic Champs-Élysées in Paris.

It has been confirmed that the 2023 Tour de France will be shown live across 190 countries. Notably, the competition will be broadcasted through the France TV/Eurosport TV in France and it will be streamed through RTVE in Spain. There is no live telecast in India.
