The second half of IPL 2021 will start within a month with RCB deciding to indulge in the services of Tim David as a replacement player in UAE
The 14th season of IPL which was planned in the early months of 2021 was postponed due to covid outbreaks in the team camps. A lot of players are injured or practicing for the T20 World Cup right after the IPL 2021, making the players not available for the franchises.
RCB also had 3 players declaring themselves unavailable for the second half of the tournament. The players are Australia’s Adam Zampa and Daniel Sams and New Zealand’s Fin Allen. This forced RCB to sign some fresh players as replacements for these players.

Why Did RCB Decide To Opt For Tim David For IPL UAE And His Incredible Pathbreaking 2021 Season
Well, the answer is clear, they were short of players as 3 of them opted out of the league because of unavailability. RCB had to replace them to have a strong side in the next leg as well. Tim David was a clear choice for RCB because of his brilliant Big Bash League performance.
In the 2020/21 Big Bash League, he scored 279 runs at a strike rate of 153.29 for the Hobart Hurricanes. He has hit two hundred and a half-century in the last 4 matches contributing to Surrey’s journey to the Royal London One-day Cup semi-final.
He is in the form of his life and should be a great addition to the side. This also encourages players from associate nations and helps cricket grow. Hopefully, more and more players from such countries join leagues like these which will improve the game internationally.
