“These kind of things happen at junior events,” Alexander Zverev Comments On Stefano Tsitsipas Taking Lengthy Comfort Breaks Against Andy Murray

Alexander Zverev who had previously accused Stefano Tsitsipas of receiving coaching during matches has thrown his weight behind Andy Murray

Stefano Tsitsipas spoke about how he had done nothing illegal during his matchup with Andy Murray and while the world number 3 does have a point, anyone associated with the game knows what Tsitsipas was trying to do.

As his showdown with Murray ran into five sets, Tsitsipas decided to restore to shenanigans in a bid to break his competitor’s rhythm. Tsitsipas took lengthy comfort breaks during the first round men’s singles clash with two of his breaks lasting 7 and 8 minutes.

And they came at deciding moments of the match as well, antics which saw Murray grow increasingly irate. He was caught asking what Stefano was doing in the toilet for so long during the match before lashing out at the player in his press conference and on Twitter as well.
