Why Mithali Raj Is Planning To Level Up Her Batting Despite Having The Most Runs

Raj is the only Indian captain – male or female – to have led the side to two 50-over World Cup finals. Talking about her cricketing journey which began in 1999, she stated how it has been anything but an easy journey. It had its trials and tribulations but she has always believed that trials have a purpose. There were times when she wanted to give up for various reasons but something kept her going.

And here she is twenty-two years of international cricket later with her hunger for more runs still alive. She is still in search of some more runs from her bat. Though she has bid goodbye to the T20 format, she is looking forward to the 2022 World Cup a big affair. In her post-match presser, she also talked about adding new dimensions to her batting.

“I am still very passionate to go out there, be there in the middle, and win games for India. I know there is still room for improvements in terms of my batting and that is something I am working on… There are certain dimensions I would like to add to my batting,” she concluded.
