The New Day has been defeated by the Usos.
The New Day themselves held the record for the longest reigning tag team champions with a 483-day stint as Raw tag team champions. They put up a fearless fight, but to no avail, to maintain their record. The Usos replaced New Day at the top to introduce their cousin Roman Reigns, who has held the title of universal champion for more than 800 days.
Jimmy and Jey Uso, the current SamckDown champions, cemented their run for this record when they won the championship at the 2021 WWE Money in the Bank event by defeating Rey and Dominik Mysterio. In order to defend their championship and take against New Day, they later defeated The Brawling Brutes at Crown Jewel.
More about the Usos
The duo is the children of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi. They made their professional wrestling debut in 2009 in Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), a developmental promotion of WWE, where they won the Florida Tag Team Championship. They were moved to the main roster the following year after quickly becoming well-liked in the scene.
The vicious duo has won the WWE (Raw) Tag Team Championship three times, the Slammy Award for Tag Team of the Year in both 2014 and 2015, and eight tag team championships in the WWE. They triumphed three times in the SmackDown Tag Team Championship in 2017.
How much money are The Usos worth?
The Uso brothers, Jimmy and Jey, have a combined net worth of $4 million. Jonathan Solofa Fatu, aka Jimmy Uso, has a $2 million net worth and is rumoured to have a salary of $250,000. Additionally, royalties from product sales and PPV appearances are due to the artist.
According to the source, Jey Uso, real name Joshua Samuel Fatu, also receives the same sum from WWE as part of his compensation. Regarding the endorsements, hardly much is publicly available.

The Usos are no Demolition but they’re an upgrade compared to the New Day especially when breaking the record. #SmackDown pic.twitter.com/l7VlwgUPGi
