THE QUEEN’S GUARDS’ SALARY
The pay of the Queen’s Guards, who work for the British Army, is based on their rank. An average soldier in the UK earns £20,400 annually. However, the pay is very uneven, with an army officer’s average monthly salary being £28,556 and an infantryman’s average salary being £18,932.
As a result, the pay for Royal Guard members will differ based on their degree of Army rank.
To be accepted into the Royal Guard, recruit soldiers must pass the British Army Recruit (BARB) test. Despite being a physically demanding job, there is the potential for advancement, which can be satisfying.
WHAT A QUEEN’S GUARD DOES?
The lifeless expressions during sentry are understandable given the Queen’s guards’ expectations for disciplined behaviour. If a guard is seen grinning or laughing while on duty, he or she risks being punished with £200.
The work can be physically taxing, as was already indicated. Their shifts can last up to 48 hours, and they are often on their feet for up to six hours at a time.

Why Do They Wear Those Hats? It’s Freaky!
The Queen’s Guard’s puffy black caps are almost as menacing as their screen moniker, “nibs123.” Okay, they’re not really that threatening. However, it appears that the hats were regarded as menacing in “the ancient days.” In case of an attack, the chinstraps of their helmets are fastened behind their noses since cavalry men would shoot for the head. “The hat would fall off if hit without breaking our necks,” according to the placement of the strap.
