Furthermore, she shares that her studies have now become more streamlined, with her no longer struggling with the glasses issue. When he compliments her brilliance, she downplays it, insisting she doesn’t deserve such flattery.
Later in the chapter, Lomura expresses concern about Mie San’s upcoming exams and questions whether she might be overworking herself. However, she responds with confidence and wide eyes, assuring him that she is doing well and has energy to spare.
While appreciative of his concern, Mie San also reminds him not to neglect his own exams. Later, she reveals her desire for them to use each other’s first names, but she’s content with “Komura” and “Mei.” She almost wishes they could maintain this arrangement.
