As season 3 opens, it has been a year since the events of season 2, and the world is generally at peace, with Homelander subjugated, Butcher and the Boys working for the government and being overseen by Hughie of all people.
The hard-won calm, however, is not to last as the Boys discover a secret Anit-Supe weapon, which sends them crashing head-first into the Seven, sparking a conflict.

Season 3 of The Boys will include a total of eight episodes. Veteran viewers may notice a resemblance between seasons 1 and 2, as both prior instalments had eight episodes apiece.
To add to the excitement for fans, the first three episodes of season 3 will be broadcast all at once on June 3rd, before the series resumes weekly airing for the remaining episodes.

The Boys’ future seems promising after season three.
While Amazon has yet to formally renew the programme, Karl Urban told Variety in March that season 4 will film through the end of 2022. It’s almost probably only a matter of time until the show’s future is officially announced.
Fans of The Boys, however, should not be concerned since the larger world of The Boys is still expanding, as Amazon has ordered two spin-off episodes. The first was The Boys Presents: Diabolical, an animated anthology series that premiered in March 2022. G-Men, a superhero college series that was announced in September 2020 and is still in development as of June 2022, is the latter.
