The Blue Orchestra plot preview
The Blue Orchestra is basically a slice-of-life anime featuring a musical touch. The anime explores the story of a Violinist Prodigy named Hajime Aono and his sorrow-filled past. Hajime Aono the main protagonist was once regarded as one of the greatest violinists but starts hating the violin following the death of his father.
Some few months following the incident, Aono hears a distinct melody in his school and thinks he has gone insane. However, his teacher confirms that the melody he heard were from another student named Akine, who was playing the violin in the infirmary.
Aono still doesn’t pay much attention as his hate for the violin still persists. But as destiny would have it, the two eventually meet each other as Aono’s teacher successfully convinces him to to teach Akine how to play the violin. While Akine and Aono are polar opposites, they struggle a lot but eventually understand each other more in the process.
The Blue Orchestra episode 1 spoilers
Ahead of the release, there are some spoilers available for The Blue Orchestra episode 1. The first episode will explore the backstory of the male protagonist Hajime Aono and his first dramatic encounter with Ritsuko Akine, the female protagonist.
Hajime Aono once loved to play the violin but hates everything about it now, following the death of his father. Moreover, Aono is also not an athletic person and constantly gets hurt while playing sports leaving him with nosebleeds constantly.
Aono calls his music room the “forbidden room” and tries to stay away from it as much as possible. The room reminds him of his father (a professional violinist), and how the two of them used to practice together. While attending school one day, his teacher asks Aono to join him for a career counselling session.
While the two have conversations about Aono’s future plans, they suddenly hear the sound of a violin playing. Aono initially thinks he’s hearing things but his teacher reveals that it’s the girl named Akine again. Aono gets curious and tries to get more information about her but his teacher leaves the room while asking him didn’t he lose interest in the violin. The young boy tries to forget about it but gets hurt again during his basketball session.
Aono is taken to the infirmary for first aid and finally meets Akine who snuck into the room to play some violin. Akine considers Aono as a pervert at first, after seeing his nose bleed, much to the anger of Aono. The two students argue over it until their teacher comes and stops them. The teacher asks Aono to teach Akine how to play the violin in exchange for overlooking Aono’s poor PE attendance.
