The fight was earlier promoted by Triller but as a result of contract issues, Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom will be going ahead with promoting the bout. The much-awaited clash will take place at the Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theatre in New York City on 27th November, 2021 (November 28th in Australia) on Thanksgiving weekend.

The contest will commence at 9 am AEDT, with the main card launching by midday. Based on the results of the earlier fights, Lopez and Kambosos are hopefully expected to arrive in the ring after 2:30 pm AEDT. The fun part is that both the fighters would have been outside the ring for a little over a year by the time they meet in Hulu Garden later this week.

‘’This rivalry has been cooking up for a long time and now we finally get to see them put it to bed in the Big Apple,” Hearn said. He further added by saying that even though Teofimo is one of the young big stars in the sport, George is a hungry proud Aussie who knows that this might be his chance to put his name amongst the elite of the game.
