Ahead of the start of the new season, the TNPL auction took place back in February where the eight teams bought various talents from across the country.

At ₹21.60 lakhs, Sai Sudharsan emerged as the most expensive player in the TNPL 2023 auction.
Sai is a part of the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2023 and scored 96 runs in the final match against the Chennai Super Kings.
This year’s competition marks the seventh edition of the TNPL and will begin from June 12 with the first match between Lyca Kovai Kings and Idream Tiruppur Tamizhans in Coimbatore.
Interestingly last year’s edition had two winners – the Chepauk Super Gillies and the Lyca Kovai Kings. The two teams were named champions after the organizers abandoned the final match.
