Know more about Takeshi’s Castle
Takeshi’s Castle was a popular Japanese game show of the ’90s and ’00s. Jaaved Jaaferi was the man behind the mic on a hit show in India.
In the early 2000s, Pogo aired the show in India, and because of Jaaferi’s insightful comments, the show became a smash hit. Most people born in the 2000s, including younger ones, may have caught at least one episode of the landmark series.
The Japanese game show Takeshi’s Castle originally aired on TBS from 1986 until 1990. As the count of a castle, Japanese comedian Takeshi Kitano presents players (or a volunteer army) with arduous tests.
TBS celebrated its 50th year by airing a special live “revival” of the show on April 2, 2005, and the response from fans around the world was overwhelming. In April of 2023, Prime Video began streaming eight brand-new episodes of the revival.
Bhuvam Bam in the Show
The Prime Video remake of the hit Japanese game show Takeshi’s Castle from the 1980s will star actor and comedian Bhuvan Bam. Previously, Jaaved Jaffrey provided the show’s original Hindi commentary. On November 2, the OTT adaptation of BB Ki Vines will begin, and Bhuvan will reprise his role as Titu Mama, a fan favorite from previous seasons.
There’s a new teaser out on Prime Video India, and it stars Bhuvan as Titu Mama. The video begins with him going about his normal day at his “shoe-stopper” shoe store. He is chatting it up with his clientele when the Yakuza walk in. They kidnap Titu Mama and demand payment in the form of a Hindi dub for the show. Under threat of death from the Yakuza, Bhuvan, as Titu Mama, begins his hilarious commentary on the original program.
