Following results of Saturday, it is confirmed that local favorite Tai Tzu-ying will compete against third-seeded Beiwen Zhang in the 2023 Taipei Open women’s singles final. During her semi-final tie, top-seed Tai completely outclassed Thai shuttler Pornpicha Choeikeewong before emerging victorious by score of 21-12, 21-16 to qualify for the title match. Thanks to her 21-18, 21-15 victory over Pitchamon Opatniputh, third-seed Zhang earned a spot in the championship game.
