Fans had already made their stance on purchasing their tickets for the final, but everything went against them when the Indian team was dramatically trounced by England by ten wickets. According to reports, the final ticket price of $299 (24000 INR) has been reduced to $225 (18000), while the ticket price for children has also been reduced to $60. Winning the toss, England decided to call India to bat first. Batting first India managed to put 168/6 on board, thanks to Hardik Pandya and Virat Kohli’s knocks of 63 and 50 respectively. The target seemed to be defendable, but Joss the boss and Alex Hales were on a different planet, both playing an unbeaten knock of 86 off 47 and 80 of 49. Both batsmen were hitting in all directions, showing no mercy to Indian bowlers. As a result, England managed to secure the 10-wicket victory with four overs to spear.
