The complete list of umpires and match referees that will preside at the tournament has been released for the T20 World Cup 2022
The 2022 T20 World Cup will be held in Australia from October 16–November 13, and the ICC has released their list of match officials. The 16 umpires from the 2021 competition, which was held in Oman and the United Arab Emirates, were kept.

The four-person panel of match referees, which they represent, consists of David Boon from Australia, Chris Broad from England, Ranjan Madugalle from Sri Lanka, and Andy Pycroft from Zimbabwe. Together, they come from nine different countries.

Three of the umpires are from Australia and England, and two each are from South Africa, New Zealand, and Pakistan. There is one representative from each of Zimbabwe, West Indies, Sri Lanka, and India on the panel. The tournament’s opening match, between Sri Lanka and Namibia at Kardinia Park in Geelong, was officiated by Joel Wilson (West Indies) and Rod Tucker (Australia), with Paul Reiffel (Australia) serving as the television umpire, Marais Erasmus (South Africa) serving as the fourth umpire, and Pycroft serving as the match referee.
Aleem Dar (Pakistan), Erasmus, and Tucker are competing in their seventh T20 World Cup. Langton Rusere (Zimbabwe), who also served as a referee during the Women’s World Cup in New Zealand, will be officiating his second World Cup in 2022.
