The International Cricket Council revealed the full schedule for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 on Sunday and the tournament will take place in October in Bangladesh.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hassan and CEO of the International Cricket Council Geoff Allardice and India and Bangladesh women’s teams captains Harmanpreet Kaur and Nigar Sultana, respectively, were in attendance when the schedule was revealed in Dhaka.

The ninth edition of the competition will consist of ten teams divided into two groups and 23 matches.

T20 Women’s World Cup 2024

  • Group A: Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Qualifier 1
  • Group B: South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Qualifier 2

When and where will the T20 Women’s World Cup 2024 be held?

Ten teams will compete in 23 matches over the course of 19 days in Dhaka to win the highly sought-after women’s Twenty20 International Cricket title kicking off on Octobet 3.

Each team will compete in four group matches during the tournament. Before the October 20 Final in Dhaka, the top two teams from each group move on to the highly tough semi-finals, which are held on October 17 and 18.

23 games in total will be contested in Dhaka and Sylhet over the course of 19 days, with reserve days set up for the semi-finals and final, when required.

Arch-rivals India and Pakistan are set to fire up the opening weekend of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 with their much anticipated match on Sunday, October 6. Check out the full schedule and venue below:
