Reigning champion Carolina Marin of Spain withdrew from the Women’s singles tournament of BWF Swiss Open 2022. Meanwhile, Indian shuttler PV Sindhu is seeded second and is one of the favorites to emerge victorious.
P V Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist, advanced to the semifinals of the Swiss Open 2022 on Friday with a straight-game victory in her women’s singles quarterfinal. Sindhu, the tournament’s second seed, breezed past fifth seed Michelle Li of Canada 21-10 21-19 in 36 minutes.
Sindhu will face Thailand’s Supanida Katethong in the semifinals on Saturday.
