A virus outbreak wiped out half of the world’s population ten years ago, according to the show’s setting. The pandemic also results in the creation of hybrids that are half human and half animal.

Wendy and Bobby, on the other hand, are apprehended later. Dr. Singh and his wife are also kidnapped by Abbot, who blackmails Dr. Singh into operating and experimenting on the Hybrids in order to find the only cure. His ultimate goal is to have the ability to decide who lives and who dies.
