Mukhra-K sarpanch Meenakshi has told that the village was financially empowered, free of open defecation, and has also witnessed widespread adoption of cashless transactions.
Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajender Singh Shekhawat has presented Swachh Sujal Shakti Samman to Mukhra-K sarpanch Meenakshi in presence of President Droupadi Murmu at the Central Jal Shakti Sakha, which is situated in New Delhi on Saturday, 4.3. 23.

Mukhra-K sarpanch Meenakshi was honored for her amazing performance and for giving an exemplary contribution to getting the village accredited with the ODF-plus category under the 11th phase of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan- Gramin.
Speaking at the event, Meenakshi said, ‘two solar power grids which are worth 4 lacks, having a total output of 6KV, have been installed in the village from the revenue of rural civic body had it has been generated through the sale of the vermicompost. Solar power also helps our village to save electricity expenditure and tune of INR 10,000 per month. The civic body consumes 4KV of the electricity which generates 2KV of power and has been sold to the government through the power grid.’
Stating that Mukhra-K received numerous awards from Union and State governments for implementing different successful schemes, the sarpanch said that the village was a symbol of self-reliance and a role model for other gram Panchayats which are based in the state.
Meenakshi has also mentioned that now her village is free of open defecation. She further spoke about schemes which have been implemented by the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and later on, donated INR 1 lakh to Chief Minister Relief Fund from the profits which have been generated through the sale of the vermicompost.
About Swachh Sujal Shakti Samman 2023
The “Swachh Sujal Shakti Samman 2023” which is organized by the Ministry of Jal Shakti to honor women champions of rural water and sanitation sector. It has been graced by the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu.
This event is organized for felicitating the exceptional and exemplary work being done by the grassroots level by women in the implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission.
A total of 36 awards were conferred under SBM-G, JJM and NWM by the President of India and Union Minister of Jal Shakti:
